DESCRIPTION:We return to the Abbey Hotel\, Redditch this year for a weekend’s Christmas Extravaganza! \nIf sufficient interest there will be supper for early arrivers on Friday night. On Saturday we have a Prosecco reception in the afternoon\, the same as last year\, followed by a three course dinner in the evening. Music and dancing until late for the energetic – or sit and chat with friends in the lounge. \nCost for the Saturday afternoon party and dinner that evening\, including a welcome drink of a glass of Prosecco or bottle of beer\, is £60 per person. A £10 deposit per person will secure you a place at this finale to the HAS 2026 season – early booking would be much appreciated\, if only so we know we won’t be on our own! You can pay your deposit at the bottom of this page\, takes less than a minute – you’ll receive an email confirmation. \nUpdate: if you’ve already paid your deposit\, could you please pay the balance of £50 per person by the end of October – bank details are in the latest newsletter mailing. If you haven’t yet booked\, there are a few tickets remaining – please email admin@heelsandseams.com to check on availability. \nWe have negotiated the same rate for rooms as last year\, you can book online here. SUMMARY:Seaton Pirate Festival - Devon
DESCRIPTION:After the great success of the first Seaton Pirate Festival earlier this year it was inevitable that the town would want to stage another one in 2027! Our illustrious editor and his good lady wife live in the town and were heavily involved in getting the first event off the ground (Jill memorably leading the Saturday afternoon parade\, sporting a tricorn\, cutlass and bearing the pirates’ banner!) \nIt’s a wonderful part of the country\, with Sidmouth next door and Exeter half an hour away – we thought that it would be an ideal place for a Meet & Mingle weekend\, taking in the Pirate Festival while we’re there. \nDetails to be confirmed – there are already a few members signed up for swashing and buckling next May\, why not make a long weekend of it and join us for a few days by the seaside?
